Working with 3D Anatomy

A. Opening 3D Anatomy Models

To open a 3D anatomy model:

  • On the Home Page, click the 3D Anatomy.
  • To open models, click the model thumbnail

B. Identifying 3D Anatomy Structures

In 3D anatomy models, you identify anatomical structures by choosing the name from the structure list.

To identify an anatomical structure:

  • Click the Object Tree. A structure list appears, showing all identified structures in the 3D anatomy model.
  • Click a structure name to select it.
  • The model rotates to the selected structure and the structure is highlighted.

C. Viewing a 3D Anatomy Model

You can use the Zoom, Pan, Orbit, Center, Tools (Dissect, Undo-Dissect, X-Ray Mode, Isolate Mode and Cross Sections) buttons to change the view of a 3D anatomy model.

  • To view the Tools click on the Display/Hide toggle button.
  • To enlarge or scale down the model, click the Zoom-In or Zoom-Out buttons or Mouse Cursor.
  • To view the model in 2D, click on the Pan Button.
  • To view the model in 3D, click on the Orbit Button.
  • To return the model to its default position, click on the Center button.
  • To view the interior of the model
    Dissect: To remove the body annotation layer by layer.
    Undo-Dissect: To reverse all the changes.
    X-Ray Mode: To view model in X-Ray Mode.
    Isolate Mode: To view only selected body part.
  • To view a structure, click the name of the structure list in the Object Tree.
